BIRLA INDUSTRIAL & TECHNOLOGICAL MUSEUM, a unit under National Council of Science Museums, the parent body of all the science Centres / Museums in India.

Mobile Science Exhibition

While the urban and the semi-urban masses are catered through permanent science museums/centres in cities and towns, the need to bring the rural people under the purview of science saw the first of the mobile science units roll out of BITM in the year 1965. Together with its satellite units, it now operates 8 MSE units in West Bengal and in the neighbouring states.

The MSE units under respective centres are :-
