BITM organizes the annual ‘Student’s Science Seminar’ in the month of August – September every year. School students studying up to class X can participate in this competitive event. In West Bengal, the seminar is held in the Block Level, then in the District Level and later in the State Level. The state level competition organized at BITM every year, selects the candidate for the National Level. Every year a current topic on science / technology is selected for the Seminar on which the student speaks.

National Science Seminar - 2010

National Council of Science Museums (NCSM) has announced the topic for National Science Seminar -2010 for school students. The topic for this year's seminar is "India and World Science: Are we there?".
